Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Bushey House Games - Bowls Tournament.
Bushey House Games Bowls Tournament.
We kicked off our Bushey House Games with a Bowls tournament. We bowled in our teams and there was lots of cheering and support for each other. Concentration was high and everyone said what a fun afternoon it had been. We enjoyed an after match tea party and deliberated tactics for the next match.

The Bushey House Games continue with Croquet on the lawn. It was another beautiful day and we all enjoyed the game and a refreshing glass of Pimms. It was the last event in our Tournament, next week we will announce the winner.
Mary said " I had a lovely time playing Croquet, It reminded me of summer's gone by when my family and I played Croquet in our garden. It was such good fun."

The Commonwealth Games at Bushey House.
To mark The Commonwealth Games 2022 residents and team members at Bushey House Beaumont will be holding their very own Bushey House Games.
Where teams will be competing in various events including Bowling, Darts and Croquet.
We held a opening ceremony where the teams were announced and we enjoyed a party to celebrate.

An afternoon of Jazz and Cocktail's at Bushey House Beaumont.
An afternoon of Jazz and Cocktail's at Bushey House Beaumont.
Bushey House Beaumont had a wonderful afternoon of Jazz music and delicious cocktails. Peter Blass entertained us with our favorite songs while Head Chef Avni and his team served tasty Canapés and a delicious cheese board for us to enjoy. The cocktail selection included "Gin Fizz", "A sunrise mocktail" and the favorite of the day "Pimms".
Residents were joined by their loved ones and guests for the local community. A wonderful afternoon was had by all!

A visit from Scooby the Pony.
Residents at Bushey House Beaumont were delighted when lovely 3 year old Scooby came to visit, accompanied by Des from Performing Pets.
What a lovely surprise it was to see Scooby trotting around our lovely garden! Scooby visited residents in their rooms and even joined them in the library. Bushey House was full of cuddles and smiles . It is always a special day when animals come to visit.

Bushey Festival Garden Party.
Bushey House Beaumont had a fantastic time hosting A Vintage Garden Party. The event was a great way to open the first day of the Bushey Festival and residents and team members were joined by their loved ones and members of the local community. There was delicious cakes and plenty of Pimms. Thank you to everyone that joined us!
