Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Supporting the Red Trust Bushey.
The team from Bushey House Beaumont visited The Red Trust Bushey with Barchester Bags full of food for their community food bank,
The Red Trust are always grateful for donations of food and are also asking the community to help them with toiletries and skin care products.
Bushey house will be collecting donations of toiletries to deliver to the Red trust on 1st June. Please leave your donations with Mary Jane our General Manager,

Happy Passover holiday from the team and residents at Bushey House Beaumont.
To celebrate Passover residents at Bushey House have been sharing their families Seder customs and discussing what the traditions represent. Such as drinking four cups of wine, eating matza and partaking of symbolic foods placed on the Passover Seder plate, The Seder is the most commonly celebrated Jewish ritual, performed all over the world. The Passover Seder plate is a special plate containing symbolic foods eaten or displayed at the Passover Seder.

Residents and staff at Bushey House Beaumont had a wonderful time celebrating Easter. There were lots of Easter eggs and chocolate treats. We were entertained with live music and had a wonderful meal prepared by our chef and his team. Residents enjoyed spending time with their loved ones in our beautiful gardens and enjoyed the sunshine.

Bushey Safer Neighbourhood Team deliver talk to residents at Bushey House.
Bushey House Beaumont Care Home linked up with the Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team to deliver the talk. PSCO Carole and PSCO Thomas from the team gave an invaluable insight into how to spot and avoid the increasingly elaborate scams facing our society today. Everyone found it very beneficial and there was an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the role of a PCSO in our community.

The Bushey House Lunch Club.
Today The Bushey House Lunch Club went to Bella Rosa, a local Italian restaurant on Bushey High Street and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The sun was shinning so residents had a leisurely walk, then back to Bushey House to enjoy a coffee and great company.

Feeling spritely !
Here at Bushey House Beaumont we love to keep fit and to help us do that, as well as our wonderful gardens to walk in, we have a number of exercise classes during the week. Classes include movement to music , dance classes and exercise sessions using equipment such as stretch bands.
Today Denise has been using the kit bags given to us by the sporting memories foundation and is feeling super charged and super fit. Others thought it doubled up nicely as a fashion accessory !!
