Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Well done Tour de Barchester!
Well done Tour de Barchester!
The Tour de Barchester cycling team arrived at Bushey House Beaumont this afternoon to a rapturous applause and a welcome party of team members and residents. We cheered the cyclists on as they arrived on day 4 of their cycling challenge to raise money for Barchester's Charitable Foundation
The sun was shining, so we were ready with ice cool drinks, delicious fruits and cool flannels to help them on their way. Our chef and his team prepared home made energy bars to give them an energy boost.
At the weekend we hosted a fund raising garden party for this fantastic charity.

At Bushey House Beaumont, not only do we have a our own beautiful gardens and view's but we also have wonderful places to visit and spend time in close by.
Residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the Bushey Rose Garden. Head Chef Avni packed us some delicious treats and refreshments and we wondered around admiring the designs of Landscape Architect’s Thomas Mawson. Much of the original planting still remains making it a beautiful and peaceful place to spend time.
We are looking forward to our next visit already.

Very important pets !
Very Important Pets 😻😻
Pet Therapy is one of the most treasured activities here at Bushey House Beaumont and we are delighted to be welcoming the team from Performing Pets Today we meet these adorable Blue British Shorthair kittens named Ringo, Paul and George.
Everyone loves to say hello and we can see the joy these little VIPs bring. Animal Therapy is proven to reduce anxiety, provide comfort and mental stimulation. and of course everyone loves a cuddle.
We can’t wait for Performing Pets to visit us again!

Bushey House would like to take this great opportunity to recognise and thank our wonderful carers.
We are so very proud of each and every one of our care team for the outstanding care that they provide to our residents every single day.
They always go above and beyond their role and for this we are truly grateful.
As part of the week, our carers received numerous donations and gifts from local organisations and businesses and lovely thank you cards from our community members, relatives and friends.
Mary Jane, General Manager organised a party to celebrate and say thank you.

The talented team at Bushey House. A High Tea fit for a Queen
Head Chef Avni has been a member of the Bushey House Beaumont Team for 20+ years. His passion always shine's through in his amazing food. Avni has recently joined the Barchester Chef academy to inspire other Chefs and pass on his flair.
Over the Jubilee bank holiday Avni and his team have continued to wow us with their delicious creations. There were a few show stoppers worthy of making it to the Great British Bake off final.

Jubilee High Tea!
Bushey House marked the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style with a long weekend of fantastic activities, entertainment and Jubilee High Tea!
In recognition of the special occasion, we decorated our home with bunting, beautiful flower displays and themed royal items, including flags and printed photos of the Queen through the years.
To top it off, Bushey House hosted our very own Jubilee High Tea where residents, team members, families, friends and community members had a fabulous time.
Everyone enjoyed delicious sweet and savoury treats, prepared by our talented chef Avni and his team, along with tasty cocktails and mocktails. There was entertainment and dancing and the event was a big success.
