Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Celebrating Diwali !
Celebrating Diwali !
Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. The festival is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar month Kartika.
The life enrichment team at Bushey house arranged an interesting talk for residents to find out more about the meaning of Diwali and its traditions. Afterwards we took part in a quiz to test or knowledge and enjoyed some Diwali treats and listened to some traditional music.

Residents at Bushey House Beaumont enjoyed a delicious lunch and a round of drinks at the lovely Par 3 Cafe and lounge bar at Bushey Golf Club.
Residents really enjoy the lunch club's outings and look forward to trying out different restaurants and cafe's in the local area.

Residents at Bushey House Beaumont got creative with a autumn inspired florist workshop.
We had fun creating beautiful arrangements to decorate the lounge using pumpkins and an array of beautiful flowers in autumnal colour's.

All about opera !
Residents at Bushey House Beaumont had an amazing day celebrating world opera day.
Starting with a rousing live performance from Tenor Yuri Sabatini that bought a tear to many an eye.
The life enrichment team held an opera-themed quiz and then residents gathered in the lounge for drinks and joined The Royal Opera House for a live stream on the history of Opera.
A great afternoon of all things opera.

Every one at Bushey Beaumont enjoys our beautiful gardens all year round. As well as a wonderful place to enjoy with friends and families we love keeping a look out for visitors of a furry kind. With regular visits from deer's, foxes, squirrel’s and all kinds of birds including wood peckers and Jays.

At Bushey House we have residents from many different heritages and back grounds and we are always keen to find out more about our friends beliefs, celebrations and festivals.
We have been finding out more about Dussehra, the tenth and final day of the Hindu festival of Navaratri, usually in October. In southern India it especially commemorates the victory of the god Rama over the demon king Ravana.
We also had an opportunity to sample traditional snacks as part of the celebration.
