Activities at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

Life at Bushey House Beaumont Care Home
Wine tasting Master Class !
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Bushey House care home were treated to a wine tasting masterclass hosted by Nick Parker and Lee Isaacs from Unity Wines. They were joined virtually by other Barchester homes and members of the local community.
Nick and Lee took Barchester residents on a tour of the world of wine starting with a light, fresh Italian sparking dry white wine, Tosti Asti Secco. With lemon, pear, apple and white peach, this is a great alternative to Prosecco. Next was a South African white, Bird Island Chenin Blanc – such a versatile wine, this example had green and red apples, peachy fruit, and a hint of something slightly tropical with a wonderful hit of apricots, nuts and melon.
Light up London Blue !
For World Alzheimer’s Day on Tuesday 21 September 2021, the Alzheimer's Society are asking venues and organisations across London and beyond to light up blue for people affected by dementia. The residents and team members at Bushey House Beaumont lit up Bushey House to show their solidarity and support for people affected by dementia.

In the beautiful grounds at Bushey Beaumont residents and team members enjoy gardening.
John has been busy re potting some busy lizzies and marigolds to add some more colour to the floral display on our lovely terrace. John loves gardening and he is particularly proud of the chilies he has grown. We look forward to our Head Chef Avni adding them to one of his delious dishes.

Happy birthday Ann !
Everyone at Bushey House Beaumont would like to wish Ann a very happy birthday. Ann celebrated her 88th birthday in style with a party arranged by the team at Bushey House and was attended by Ann's friends and family. There was also entertainment and Ann was serenaded. Such an enjoyable afternoon.
Celebrating Rosh Hashanah !
This week Bushey House Beaumont celebrated Rosh Hashanah with a delicious lunch that included a choice of Honey Glazed roast lamb or Lemon and thyme roast Chicken. With seasoned roasted potatoes and a selection of steamed vegetables served in our beautiful restaurant by our head chef and his team.
Head chef Anvi baked a wonderful selection of desserts including a traditional honey cake to mark hope of a sweet New Year.
Rabbi Feldman lead the celebration by blowing the shofar in our beautiful gardens.

The café at Bushey House Beaumont is where residents get together for a cuppa, good company and a lovely piece of home baked cake. A great place to meet up with friends for a chat, read the newspaper and watch the world go by.
