Activities at Challoner House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Challoner House Care Home
National Pizza Day
We celebrated National Pizza Day at Challoner by baking our very own pizzas. We enjoyed making and decorating them, but the best part was the tasting.
National Popcorn Day
To celebrate National Popcorn Day, our residents were treated to different flavours of popcorn! The favourite of the day was sweet popcorn. It brought back memories and we reminisced about the past, whilst snacking on a delicious treat!
International Flower Day
Our residents enjoyed a day of all things floral! We started off with a flower quiz and finished the day with flower arranging. Each of our residents made their own bouquets and displayed them in their rooms.
New Year’s Eve
To celebrate the New Year coming in, our residents enjoyed a New Year’s Eve party. We enjoyed lots of delicious treats, drinks, music and plenty of New Year’s stories!
Gingerbread Day
To celebrate Gingerbread Day, the residents at Challoner House made their very own gingerbread men. They tasted as good as they looked.
Christmas Card Making
The residents at Challoner House enjoyed making and writing Christmas cards and sending them to their loved ones and friends.
