Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor Care Home

Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor are delivered using the whole home approach, where there is never a dull moment. Our Activities team take great care to make sure that our residents, resident’s families and staff’s physical, mental, and social well-being are taken into account. Whether it is a group session or a personal-centred activity you can be certain it is meeting a need.

We have our regular activities such as Scrabble Club, Bingo, Zumba, Gardening Club, Movie Time, family support meetings, Residents meetings and many more. We are also known for our theme days where the whole home likes to dress up. We have even been known in the past to go for a drive in the minibus in our costumes!

Nursery Visit

Residents and staff have been building new friendships with the children and parents of the local nursery, Happy Apples. The hope is that we can learn from each other. For this session, residents were taught how to sing the nursery's welcome song.

Centenary Celebrations

Celebrations have been in full swing at Cherry Blossom Manor as a resident reached her centenary in style.

Mary was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she received a telegram from the Queen in recognition of her landmark birthday. A celebratory lunch was followed by a small service and the reading of her favourite psalm, led by her son, ending with a good sing along of her favourite hymns.

Arts & Crafts

Arts & Crafts

Residents at Cherry Blossom Manor have been hard at work with their arts and crafts the last few weeks creating and making this gorgeous picture of a peacock. Everyone was so pleased with the outcome that it has pride of place in reception for all family, friends and visitors to see.

Within 24 hours of it being put up visitors and residents are already making comments about how lovely it is.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

Residents, loved ones and staff members released balloons with messages to loved ones on Valentine's Day. Everyone also enjoyed a chocolate fountain with fruit in the morning.
