Activities at Cheshire Grange Care Home

The activities team are constantly striving to meet the varied needs of everyone who lives in our home, offering a wide range of group and individual social events. There are regular visits from entertainers, along with craft activities, baking, games & puzzle days and pampering sessions, which fill the week. However, we can always find time for outings and just spending that little bit of special time with residents who enjoy the peace and quiet. We aim to bring the activities to the individual, whilst making it a whole home experience.

Jo Eland

Activities Coordinator

After originally starting at Cheshire Grange in May 2015, I'm delighted to be back in the role of Activities Coordinator. It is a privilege to be in this role and spend time, getting to know our ladies and gentleman and their loved one, whilst doing all the fun things that can make such a difference to their days.

Life at Cheshire Grange Care Home

,

A Morning on Memory Lane

Residents on Bridgewater Terrace enjoyed a very pleasant morning; the ladies chose which colour nail varnish went best with their outfits, whilst the gents practiced their artistic skills.

,

National Puzzle Week

In recognition of National Puzzle Week, residents had a very enjoyable week playing word games, doing crosswords, taking part in quizzes and completing several jigsaw puzzles, some of which nearly got the better of us!

Feathered Friends

Feathered Friends

Residents enjoyed creating a collage with feathers, which resulted in some very impressive birds.

Gardening

Gardening

Ladies and gents living on our Memory Lane Community enjoy getting their hands dirty with some gardening, planting the pots up on the balcony area.

Owl Visit

Owl Visit

Our ladies and gents were enthralled by a visit from Spike the barn owl, who appeared to be enjoying all the attention. We learnt all about Spike and other owls: where they live, what they eat, how they hunt and many other interesting facts. Spike then visited residents in their rooms, making sure nobody missed out.

Oh Deer!

Oh Deer!

After being turned down by Santa – failing the fitness test for his sleigh-pulling fleet – our Activities Coordinator put some antlers on, raising many smiles on the faces of residents, staff and visitors.
