Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Tour De Barchester.

Staff from Barchester Healthcare’s care homes up and down the country are taking on a gruelling 211 mile cycling challenge from Bradford to London to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation which supports older people and other adults living with a disability or mental health problems by helping them to connect or re-connect with others in their local communities.

Over four days, from July 5th- 8th, a team of care home workers will cycle from Yorkshire to London, stopping at 15 care homes and one hospital across all four of Barchester’s divisions to meet well-wishers, have a well-earned break and refuel before continuing on their way. Ramona Stanciu, General Manager at Chorleywood Beaumont and Wayne Hughes, Regional Director will be among the cyclists.

On 8th July at 11am the tour will stop at Chorleywood Beaumont in Chorleywood where the home will be offering refreshments and holding a garden party to help raise funds.

Carers Week is an annual event to raise awareness of caring, highlighting the challenges carers face, and recognising the contribution they make to our residents, families and communities throughout the UK. The theme for Carers Week this year is ‘Making caring visible, valued and supported’ – to shine a light on all those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to care for  people in our communities. Chorleywood Beaumont is very proud of our care team and want to thank them for their hard work and all that they do.
