Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

A trip out in our mini bus.

This week residents at Chorleywood Beaumont hoped on the mini bus and took a trip to Van Hague Garden Centre in Rickmansworth. It was a bright but fresh autumn afternoon. We wrapped up warm and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful plants and shrubs. Residents bought some Queen Elizabeth Rose bushes which our gardening club will plant in our gardens to honour Her Majesty The Queen.

After out shopping we enjoyed a cuppa and a slice of cake. We had such a lovely time we are already looking forward to our next trip.

A trip to Chiltern Open Air Museum.

Residents and team members from Chorleywood Beaumont enjoyed and wonderful afternoon at the Chiltern Open Air Museum The Museum runs a small historic working farm endeavouring to use and demonstrate traditional farming techniques from the past. The farm’s small working fields surround the historic buildings, and create the backdrop of a classic English rural village.

It was a very interesting day and we really enjoyed exploring the gardens and building's. Thank you to the team at Chiltern Open Air Museum we all look forward to returning again soon.

Some of the bags we kept our selves and some we gave to our loved ones.

The fragrance filled the lounge and was absolutely beautiful.

In loving memory of Her Majesty The Queen.

In loving memory of The Queen, residents and team members arranged a Memorial Area at Chorleywood Beaumont with candles and photos of the Queen. A place staff, residents, families and friends can visit.

Residents and Julija from our lifestyle team created a book of photos of the Queen, we wrote condolences messages,, shared our memories of The Queen and our comments of gratitude. Once completed we will send this beautiful book to the Royal Family to show our support.

For many of our residents, the Queen represented comfort, hope and peace over the past seven decades of her sovereignty, and she will be sorely missed.
