Activities at Field House Care Home
The Activities Coordinators here at Field House are always keen to learn about residents' interests and hobbies, tailoring meaningful activities to the likes and dislikes of those we support. Our mission is to ignite the past, appeal to current interests and embrace new ones, improving quality of life whilst stimulating the mind and senses. Activities are carried out via small groups or individually, supported by local volunteers. We have access to a range of local community facilities and nearby places of interest, prompting community engagement, and hold special events at the home, where we are entertained by guest vocalists and performers, with 'The Quiz Master' being a fan favourite.
Caroline Davis
Hi, I'm Caroline and I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.
In my job, I'm able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families providing the support they need. I am very passionate about my job role as it is very important to us as a team that every individual is able to live the life they wish and feel fulfilled in their everyday activities maintaining past hobbies and finding new ones.

Pirate Day
To celebrate “International Talk like a Pirate Day” we organised an amazing treasure hunt at Field House. Residents, relatives and volunteers had a great time following the map hints to find sweet treasures all around the home and gardens.
Spending a Day Out at Rhyl
Many residents loved spending a day out in Rhyl and seeing the seaside. We visited one of our sister homes who received us with a very warm welcome. All of us enjoyed eating Fish & Chips in their beautiful conservatory and chatting along and meeting some of their residents. What a great day!
Pet Therapy
All the residents were so pleased with the visit of Pepper, a 9 month old poodle who visited the home for the second time. Many residents loved cuddling him and also taking him for a walk around the garden.
