Activities at Forest Hill Care Home
We are a team of four activity organisers here at Forest Hill. We have a wide range of activities within the home including: musical entertainment, Arts & Crafts, Clubs for like minded people such as flower arranging and gardening, board games, baking (where the best bit is the eating afterwards!), and we celebrate special events throughout the year, such Easter, Mothers Day & Fathers Day and Christmas. We also have trips out on a regular basis using our own minibus, where we find out places of interest each person would like to visit. One of our more popular trips is to the local ice cream farm. We recently fulfilled one of our ladies dreams to visit the Chelsea Flower Show, something she had always wanted to do.
For our ladies and gentlemen who are nursed in bed, we have one to one times, which may be hand or foot massage or reading, & listening to music. We encourage families to get as involved as they can with activities and outings and have recently created a Terrace Cafe area, where visiting families can take their loved one for tea & biscuits and spend valuable time together.
Sue Bestwick
Sue arranges activities and outings for our residents and makes each day as interesting and stimulating as possible for them. Sue's bubbly enthusiasm and determination to put a smile on people's faces is a real asset to Forest Hill. Sue is always keen to get family members involved too so that they can share happy, fulfilled and quality moments with their loved ones.

Life at Forest Hill Care Home
Christmas at Forest Hill
We were so touched to receive a lovely Cadbury’s hamper from a relative of a resident. He wanted to thank us all for looking after his Mum. He didn’t need to send the chocolates, as we all work hard at Forest Hill for those we support – but they were very gratefully received!
Forest Hill at the Circus
Residents were really keen to visit the circus when it came to Worksop. Our Administrator and her assistant volunteered to take some residents for an exciting evening out with a difference! They absolutely loved the experience and cheered all the way through.
Thanks you to Lou and Matty for making the evening so special for residents.
Spooky Tea Party
Residents had a great time when we hosted our 'Spooky Tea Party'.
Fair Visit
Residents enjoyed a trip to the local fair. One residents used to work on this particular traveling fair and therefore was really happy to see his old friends.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
We had a lovely morning at Forest Hill raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, which was enjoyed by residents and staff alike. Due to the marvellous late September sunshine, we were able to have our coffee and cake outside. We raised just over £100 for a fantastic cause and we really enjoyed eating the lovely cakes.
Forest Hill Refurbishment
We are currently undergoing a major refurbishment project. We are so excited to have a makeover both upstairs and downstairs. Please watch this space for further developments.
