Activities at Four Hills Care Home

Our activity and lifestyle programme is arranged for all our residents to participate in and is updated regularly based on ideas from our residents group during our resident forum. Our Resident of the Day strategy ensures each person receives at least one day each month where the focus is all about them.

We have a monthly concert and to date this is appreciated and enjoyed by most residents. The Four Hills Taverns is open for business every Friday afternoon and is an area where residents and staff socialise, hold pub quizzes and partake in a little refreshment.

The team at Four Hills try hard to meet everyone's needs and encourage all residents and their families to join in the fun.

Life at Four Hills Care Home

Children's Mental Health Week

The local kids from Highpark school visited Four Hills every afternoon for a full week as part of children’s mental health week. The residents and children took part in a variety of activities including storytelling, reminiscing, arts and crafts and playing games. Not only did we see the benefits in the children but also in our residents. Their mood was greatly improved by the interaction from the children.

Post New Year Party

Four Hills residents had an absolute ball at our post New Year party with live entertainment provided by the fabulous Mama Fox. Residents sang and danced to all our favourite classics and were delighted that their families could come and join in on all the fun.

Stadium tour of Ibrox

Residents at Four Hills went off on our travels for a stadium tour of ibrox. Residents were shown the trophy room, players dressing rooms and managers office as well as being able to run down the tunnel. It was a great experience for all. Mary was delighted with her visit as it evoked lots of treasured memories of being at ibrox every week with her husband.

Happy New Year!

Residents at Four Hills welcomed in the new year with a traditional piper. David is the partner of our activities coordinator Liz. Our residents absolutely loved the traditional New Year songs that he played, they all sang along and said it was a wonderful way to mark the New Year.

Starlings virtual talk

Across our services our residents have enjoyed a wonderful live virtual talk about starlings, one of the UK’s most gregarious birds, hosted by Rachel Dowse from The Royal Parks London.

Rachel examined our long history with this bird and the importance of common species to our lives. Our residents had the opportunity to find out more about the great murmuration and why we need to pay special attention to these beauties before it's too late.

The virtual experience was truly enjoyed by all.

Live entertainment

Residents at Four Hills having a wonderful afternoon at our post New Year celebrations. We sang and danced the afternoon away with some fabulous entertainment from Mama Fox, along with a few refreshments and some Scottish themed nibbles.
