Activities at Four Hills Care Home
Our activity and lifestyle programme is arranged for all our residents to participate in and is updated regularly based on ideas from our residents group during our resident forum. Our Resident of the Day strategy ensures each person receives at least one day each month where the focus is all about them.
We have a monthly concert and to date this is appreciated and enjoyed by most residents. The Four Hills Taverns is open for business every Friday afternoon and is an area where residents and staff socialise, hold pub quizzes and partake in a little refreshment.
The team at Four Hills try hard to meet everyone's needs and encourage all residents and their families to join in the fun.

Life at Four Hills Care Home
A busy week
Residents here at Four Hills enjoy a varied life enrichment programme and this week we have had a busy one - themed arts and crafts, enjoy the late autumnal sunshine to take walks around our local community, a spot of retail therapy in our local shops and of course, it was eyes down for one of our favourites - bingo!
Spooktacular Halloween Party
We had a spooktactular day hosting our traditional Halloween party, there was some great costumes on show, residents enjoyed live entertainment, delicious cakes and of course lots of sweet treats especially prepared by our hospitality team.
We also hosted a kids party in the morning playing fun Halloween games and dunking for apples, we had so much fun, with the children bringing massive smiles to the faces of our residents. Maintaining intergenerational links is important to us.
Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Mosque
We had a lovely morning out at our local mosque who were hosting a McMillan coffee morning for the local community.
It was great to be out in the community supporting a great cause with lots of money raised. We enjoyed some delicious cakes and sampling some of the great food that was put on whilst making new friends.
It was a wonderful to spend a morning.
Intergenerational Friends
Our residents of Four Hills care home were visited by the local children of Benview nursery school this morning.
They all had a lovely time getting to know one another and finding out what they were all up to since our last visit.
Everyone enjoyed some fresh fruit and juice and our residents can’t wait to visit them next week.
Theraputic ponies pay a visit
Four Hills care home, in Glasgow, was full of animal mischief on this week when a couple of miniature Shetland ponies came to visit the home. Residents at Four Hills were pleasantly surprised to see their new furry friends roaming around their sitting rooms and bedrooms as Therapeutic Ponies Scotland paid a visit.
General Manager Eleanor Wilson said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their unusual visitors today. We knew that having the ponies here would be a bit of fun for all our residents, especially as some find it difficult to go on many outings in our minibus. We are always looking for new activities for the residents and today we have seen the seen the enjoyment and the therapeutic influence animals can have on people.”
Residents take to the water
Four Hills care home, in Glasgow, where residents have been enjoying the last of the sunshine before stepping into autumn with a fabulous day out on the canal boats, thanks to our friends from the Seagull Trust.
Residents at Four Hills had a fabulous time taking in the sights, sounds and wildlife living on the canals, it was a beautiful day so residents loved sitting out on the deck, we chatted to a few paddle boarders as they passed and tried naming the different types of birds we saw on our journey.
