Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Day Trip to Cotefield Nurseries

We went on a lovely trip to Cotefield Nurseries with our staff and our lovely residents, Marlene, Pauline, Sheila, and Rod. We had a great time exploring the nurseries and then stopped by the tea room for some hot drinks, which was really refreshing. It was a wonderful experience for all of us, and we're excited for more outings together!

Preparing for Burn's Night

Recap of our wonderful Burn's Night bunting making and crafting event! We had a fantastic time getting creative and making colourful bunting to celebrate the Scottish tradition. Residents and staff worked together to paint blue thistles and create lovely bunting to decorate our home. The home made bunting brightened up our surroundings here at Glebefields adding to the festival atmosphere. Keep an eye out for more upcoming events as we continue to celebrate together.

International Flower Day

Glebefields celebrated International Flower Day, taking a moment to appreciate the beauty and significance of flowers. Even though the day has passed, let's enjoy the beautiful colours and positive energy they bring to our lives. Vintage Ruby Entertains

Vintage Ruby brought beautiful tunes to Glebefields, taking us on a musical journey from the 1920s to the 1960s. Our resident Marlene and her friend Susan even sang along, and everyone, including residents and staff, clapped along with the music. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with music and happiness, creating a truly joyful time together!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the Glebefields Open Day. Your presence made it a success, and we're grateful for the warmth and happiness you shared with our community. Looking forward to more wonderful moments ahead!

Fancy Floral Arrangements

We're getting ready for this Saturday's Open Day at Glebefields care home in Drayton. Our residents joined together to make beautiful fresh flower arrangements using tulips, chrysanthemums and roses.

Ivy said she learnt flower arranging many years ago and was happy to recall her old studies to give guidance to her fellow flower club friends.
