Activities at Glebefields Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Festive Clay Art

During our special clay art session, a significant snow clay sculpture was created, along with numerous Christmas decoration items and clay pots adorned with exquisite flower punch designs. Pam, Marlene, Ivy, and others derived immense enjoyment from crafting these artistic pieces. Their presence and enthusiasm contributed to the overall success of the event, and we eagerly anticipate many more such creative endeavours in the future.

October Open Day

Our recent Open Day was a really special day we won't forget! We began with a fun clay art session in the morning and then had the pleasure of listening to Tristan Pate, a talented guitarist who sang beautiful songs in the afternoon. Marlene, June, and Pam, three of our lovely residents, told us, "We enjoyed the songs so much that we sang along with Tristan in the afternoon." Your presence made our Open Day even better.

Visit to 'Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum'

We had a brilliant day out to the "Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum." Tom, Ray, and Stanley enjoyed it so much that they want to go again! They found lots of interesting things about Churchill and both the world wars. Looking back and talking about it was lots of fun. A big thanks to our staff members, Kay, Tracey, and Dinesh, for making our day at the "Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum" even more special!
