Activities at Glebefields Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Glebefields Care Home

Coronation Cake and Gifts for All
We had a wonderful day at Glebefields Care Home! Our residents watched the live streaming of the King's coronation while wearing their beautifully decorated hats and waving flags. We enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch, and resident Marlene and one of our resident's daughters cut the coronation cake.
To show our appreciation, we gave out coronation sweet bags to our staff and residents. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day, and we look forward to more celebrations at Glebefields Care Home!

Fiona Harrison Sings for the King!
Coronation celebrations at Glebefields began yesterday with a delightful vintage-themed afternoon tea party. Our residents and their families were joined by Fiona Harrison, who entertained us with her amazing singing and dancing.
We all had a wonderful time reminiscing about the royal family and sharing our love for King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla. And of course, the highlight of the afternoon tea was the quiche, which is not only a favorite of our residents, but also a signature dish of the beloved monarchs.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special event.

Getting 'Coronation' Ready
We at Glebefields Care Home have been busy preparing for the upcoming coronation of the King of England on May 6th!
We are created stunning crafts and colouring sheets that are fit for royalty. Our residents have been occupied over the past few weeks creating beautiful crafts and colourful art pieces.
Cynthia, Ivy and Barry have crafted beautiful hat decorations, while Helen, Bert and Stanley have utilised their artistic skills to design unique colouring sheets. Pam has also contributed beautiful decorations that have added a regal touch to our home.
All of our residents, including Edith, Marlene and Minnie, have enjoyed participating in the activities and have added their own personal touch to the crafts.

Oomph! Singing with 'Wim'
We had lots of fun with musical instruments as our residents joined 'Wim' from Oomph Wellness. Ivy, Edith and Helen enjoyed shacking their maraca’s and tambourines alongside Marlene and her visiting daughter who both led the performance with a good old sing-a-long!

Therapy Dog 'Daisy'
Our residents get so much joy and love from pet therapy. A visit from 'Daisy' the cocker spaniel from Pets for Therapy brought smiles and cuddles all round!
