Activities at Harper Fields Care Home
There is always something to do here at Harper Fields and always someone to assist the residents in any activity they wish to take part in. We have entertainers come into the home to sing and play instruments on a weekly basis, as well as visits from PAT dogs, hairdressers, massage therapists and nail technicians to pamper those who live here. Residents' spiritual needs are taken into account at Harper Fields; we have regular services from the Catholic and Methodist church, in addition to the Church of England, and for our non-religious residents, we have a weekly calming and peaceful ‘mindfulness and meditation group,’ which is very popular, especially for those living with dementia. Residents often like to attend cinema evenings to watch their favourite films on the big screen (complete with sweets and popcorn), or develop new skills at our computer classes, where they can learn how to Skype their families in other countries. Our activities are tailored to suit the individual interests and capabilities of residents and our specialised equipment enables those we support to enjoy everything we have to offer.

Life at Harper Fields Care Home
Wonderful Performance from BC Primary Pupils
Each year we are blessed to have the children from Balsall Common School sing for us. To thank them we gave each child a chocolate selection box. It really was wonderful, it makes our Christmas!
Elf Day ~ No Elves Were Left on the Shelf!
National Elf Day was so much fun. It was wonderful to see staff & residents join in the day with their Elf outfits. Who knew Elves were such great dancers! We enjoyed the fabulous sound of Melissa Hollick who entertained us. Such a great way to start the festive season
Flower Arranging Workshop
Berkswell Flower club delivered a Christmas themed workshop. After the demonstration we enjoyed having a go ourselves. The end results were wonderful, we felt incredibly proud of our flower displays. Thank you so much Joanne & Mary, we had a superb afternoon.
Christmas Wreath Making
Creative Mojo led an art masterclass. We created Christmas wreaths while listening to classic vinyls on the record player. Giles won an outstanding achievement certificate for his wreath creation.
Q&A with a Centenarian
Vi, a 100-year-old resident here at Harper Fields, was delighted to hold Q&A session on Remembrance Day about life during and after the war, with pupils from Balsall Common Primary School. Vi and the children all had such a lovely time!
Celebrating 10 Years' service
