Activities at Hazel Lodge Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Indoor Garden Party

Thank you to everyone who braved the soggy British weather to come along to our garden party . Unfortunately, even with our garden marquees in place, the rain finally won and we had to all get very cosy indoors.
It may have dampened our hair but it certainly didn't dampen our spirits and in true British style we were soon up dancing in the aisles to the wonderful songs from entertainer Andy Mace.

Ice Cream Day

We celebrated National Ice Cream Day by learning all the history behind the 'Walls' ice cream brand .Launched back in 1922, Walls gave us all our family favorites such as Mr Whippy, Cornetto, Vienetta, Carte d'Or and many more.

Gardening Club

Isn't it amazing how much things grow in just a few weeks . Back in June some of the pupils from Claverham School kindly came along and planted up the raised beds at Hazel Lodge with a selection of herbs and vegetables which they had grown from seed at the school. Since their visit, residents and staff have been out with the watering can every evening and just look at the results....amazing ! We  can't wait for fresh salad from the garden but for now the residents are enjoying the fresh mint in their Pimms .
