Activities at Hazel Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Seaside Strolls
Oh we do like to be beside the seaside ...
Some of our residents voted for a coastal visit , so their wish is our command and off we hopped to beautiful Bexhill.
The sky was the bluest of blues and without a cloud , perfect for a stroll and a breath of Sea air .
We wrapped up warm as there was a nip in the air but that didn't deter the spring in our step or the smiles on our faces.

Let's Paint like Picasso
Our art class is a great way to relax and let your creative juices flow.
Residents recently joined us for some still life painting and got straight to it , creating some rather nice pieces of art.
Even the inexperienced residents gave Picasso a run for his money and enjoyed the social aspect of chatting and painting.

Our Walking Club
Walking is great for mind, body and soul. The benefits of fresh air and exercise are very well known and you can't deny the great feeling you get from being surrounded by nature and friends.
Activities coordinator Megan and care assistant Claire led the walking club this week and I think they had just as much fun as the residents.

Spring has Sprung
With the sun shining it finally feels like spring has sprung at Hazel Lodge .
We've been out and about in the garden and taking time just sitting and enjoying the daffodils which always add a bit of colour after winter .
We've also had some furry & fluffy visitors to the home and residents had the chance to cuddle up with the chicks and bottle feed the lambs which was a real treat .

Gardening Club
With the sun shining we took our gardening club outside to work on our raised planters and stroll the grounds to assess how the garden fared through winter.
We were joined by Ruby our hostess, Richard the gardener and Megan our activities coordinator. Demonstrating Hazel lodge's whole home approach to our residents well-being.
We had a wonderful time in the fresh air and enjoyed the discussion and advice shared by the pros. We can't wait to tend to the garden throughout the spring and summer months.

International Women's Day
Staff and residents came together to celebrate International Women's Day and all the lovely ladies that make Hazel Lodge such a special home.
