Activities at Hazel Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hazel Lodge Care Home

Spring has Sprung
With the sun shining it finally feels like spring has sprung at Hazel Lodge .
We've been out and about in the garden and taking time just sitting and enjoying the daffodils which always add a bit of colour after winter .
We've also had some furry & fluffy visitors to the home and residents had the chance to cuddle up with the chicks and bottle feed the lambs which was a real treat .

Gardening Club
With the sun shining we took our gardening club outside to work on our raised planters and stroll the grounds to assess how the garden fared through winter.
We were joined by Ruby our hostess, Richard the gardener and Megan our activities coordinator. Demonstrating Hazel lodge's whole home approach to our residents well-being.
We had a wonderful time in the fresh air and enjoyed the discussion and advice shared by the pros. We can't wait to tend to the garden throughout the spring and summer months.

International Women's Day
Staff and residents came together to celebrate International Women's Day and all the lovely ladies that make Hazel Lodge such a special home.

Perfect Pamper
Just imagine every week enjoying a day of pampering without having to worry about the weather or getting your new hairdo wet !
With our very own Beauty salon, there's plenty of time for catching up with all the celebrity gossip in your favourite magazine or just relax and listen to the ambient music whilst your locks get the 5* treatment . Then to complete the make-over it's off to the nail bar for a luxury manicure where the only thing you need to think about is what colour polish to choose !

Friends Reunited
It's the little moments in life that have the biggest impact. One of our residents Stella was recently reunited with her long lost close friend, Betty.
Betty and Stella were good friends in their younger years, alongside Stella's sister and other local ladies they would holiday together around the UK.
Betty and Stella lost contact when they both moved into local care homes.
Yesterday our activities coordinator Megan arranged a reunion. We travelled to Betty's care home and had an afternoon of tea and cake.
The two women shared stories of holidays they shared, the laughter was heartwarming. They were overjoyed to see each other after all these years.
Both ladies would like to see each other again so we have arranged monthly visits to Betty's care home.

Fabulous Flowers
A big thank you to Co-op Battle High Street who kindly donated some of their beautiful flowers to our residents. We thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon of flower arranging and creating gorgeous centre pieces on display around our home.
