Activities at Longueville Court Care Home
Our activities coordinators are committed to organising a variety of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities for everybody we support ensuring a person centred approach.
The team have a flexible approach to our programme and we are constantly reviewing and updating our programmes to ensure we cater for everyone's needs and varied abilities.
The activities programme includes regular trips utilising the homes minibus, these include a number of destinations of local interest. We are particularly proud of the relationship we have built with Peterborough Sailability. This registered charity offers the opportunities to those with restricted mobility to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the open water and the sense of independence that brings in specially adapted boats.
Involvement in the local community is something that the whole team are very passionate about and we provide regular visits to a number of different facilities including local schools and churches. These activities also extend too visits from "Pat dogs" and local entertainers to aid in our ongoing quest to give each individual as much support and stimulation as they require.

Local Morrisons Christmas Gift
Today the Lovely Natasha from Morrisons dropped off cards and mini stockings that were hand knitted for each of our residents. We would like to say a massive thank you to Natasha and the Morrisons team for always supporting Longueville Court in which ever way they can.
Holy Communion
We had great pleasure visiting our friends at St. Mary's this morning, for Holy Communion. We also made new friends, at this festive time of year, we believe its always lovely to reach out to others.
Salvation Army Brass Band
So today we had the fabulous Salvation Army band come in to entertain our residents. The room was full with joyous singing as they played many Christmas songs we all knew and loved.
Longueville Court rang out with brass band music and festive sing-alongs. It was so wonderful to sit and chat with the group over refreshments courtesy of our hospitality team.

Here at Longueville Court we will be hosting our monthly dementia café on Wednesday afternoon. This month we will be getting into the festive spirit, with some Christmas fun. Please come along and join in, as we also offer support and advice for all, in our local community about dementia care. We have years of experience and knowledge and are happy to help in whatever way we can!
Friendship Café Launch
This morning we had our first 'Friendship Club' as we joined together with members of the local Dominion Church.
RCCG Dominion Christian Connections is a community where you will find people who worship Jesus and are passionate about spreading His Word. They welcome people who have come together to know Christ and live in his freedom.
It was a great success, our residents enjoyed the groups company and chats. We all loved the homemade cakes they brought to share with us over a nice cup of tea.
Everyone at Longueville would also like to say a massive THANK YOU for the fruit and food hamper donation.
