Activities at Longueville Court Care Home
Our activities coordinators are committed to organising a variety of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities for everybody we support ensuring a person centred approach.
The team have a flexible approach to our programme and we are constantly reviewing and updating our programmes to ensure we cater for everyone's needs and varied abilities.
The activities programme includes regular trips utilising the homes minibus, these include a number of destinations of local interest. We are particularly proud of the relationship we have built with Peterborough Sailability. This registered charity offers the opportunities to those with restricted mobility to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the open water and the sense of independence that brings in specially adapted boats.
Involvement in the local community is something that the whole team are very passionate about and we provide regular visits to a number of different facilities including local schools and churches. These activities also extend too visits from "Pat dogs" and local entertainers to aid in our ongoing quest to give each individual as much support and stimulation as they require.

Celebrating life at Longueville Court Care Home
ELvis is in the building
The methods and mediums may change but the heart of live music - the communal joy, the shared emotions, the collective energy - remains untouched. As we look to the future, one thing is clear: live music will continue to be a cherished experience at Longueville Court, even as its form and format evolve.
We Celebrated the birth of Elvis with a tribute act. The Residents clapped and had a good old sing along to all of his classics.
Away in a Manger
National celebrations and family-friendly events are just some of the ways that we ensure the residents at Longuville Court remain connected with their loved ones and the wider community.
Our Residents put on a Christmas show today for family and friends and Santa may have even been one of the Residents. The Residents Choir recited Christmas favourites and all had some comfort and joy.
Christmas Party
The residents at White Lodge enjoyed a truly joyful Christmas celebration filled with bright colours, delicious food, and plenty of music.
The festivities kicked off with a fantastic performance by the all-male band End of Track, who immediately set the mood and brought the Christmas spirit alive. Their lively renditions of festive favourites such as White Christmas, Sweet Caroline, and Merry Christmas had everyone smiling, singing along, and soaking up the joyful atmosphere.
Following the wonderful entertainment, residents were treated to a mouth-watering festive buffet. The table was packed with seasonal delights including Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, mince pies, mini quiches, Christmas cake, and panettone, all perfectly complemented by warm cups of tea and coffee.
It was a heart-warming celebration enjoyed by all and a perfect way to share the magic of Christmas together.
Remembrance Sunday
With it being remembrance Sunday, our residents wanted to do something different, something that could be kept as a keepsake, so we did a photo shoot of our residents, which turned out great.
Trip to watch the rugby
We whisked two of our residents to Northampton to cheer on the Northampton Saints! It was such a fantastic day.
We kicked things off with lunch at Five Guys, and then we headed to the stadium to watch the home team rock the field. The energy in the stands was absolutely electric. We all had an amazing time!
