Activities at Lynde House Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators get a real buzz off their work here as enthusiasm is essential for the role. We decorate and celebrate for all the big annual events, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mothering Sunday and much more. There are also regular fixtures in our activities programme, including bingo, a sherry morning and quizzes, that are always well-attended. There's also an International Day that we hold to celebrate the wonderful ethnic diversity of our staff, where members of our team and their families give up their time to showcase their national costumes, dances and songs. Of course, we also have activities and services tailored to those residents who prefer the quiet life, such manicures or simply a friendly chat and a cup of tea. We always do our best to learn about residents' hobbies and interests and try to arrange our activities programme around their individual likes and dislikes.

Life at Lynde House Care Home
Bartie in Lyndegardenland
Oh look, it's little Bartie Chester out on his bicycle. Where has he been? Where is he going? Perhaps he is delivering messages! It’s going to be fun, so maybe it’s a picnic! This scene is the chance for lots of stories to be created by residents and their loved ones about Bartie’s adventures in Lyndegardenland...
Arts & Crafts
Some residents at Lynde House picked up a paintbrush for the first time recently during our recent art class. For others, it was like they'd never put one down. Either way, it was a great way to spend an afternoon!
Isabella Plantation
On Wednesday 5th July, residents from Lynde House enjoyed an afternoon at the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park. Although many of the world famous rhododendrons had already flowered, there was still a riot of colour and some fantastic bird spotting.
Kew Gardens
Another sunny day and another excursion for Lynde House residents; we returned to Kew Gardens and the splendor of the newly-refurbished Temperate House, the largest glass house in the world.
Open Day
What a joyous day at Lynde House on Saturday 9th June 2018, when we welcomed new visitors into our home, and some old friends as well.
The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed great entertainment, glorious food and a few refreshments by way of Pimm's and Prosecco.
Thank You Party
A resident recently departed Lynde House after a long recovery from ill health and hosted a thank you party before leaving as a way of saying thank you to staff – how sweet!
