Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Moreton Hill Care Home

Ace of Diamonds Magic Show

The residents were recently treated to a special show by the magician Colin Diamond. As well as tricks with hoops and loops and endless feathers and hankies, Colin entertained everyone with his balloon shapes and colours.

Residents Enjoy Exercise Classes

Exercise forms an important part of the life at Moreton Hill. Apart from the regular walks in the garden to enjoy the fresh air and spectacular views from the home, there are regular exercise classes including Better Balance, Tai Chi and ‘Oomph’ Stretch classes.

Knit & Natter Group

We have regular Knit & Natter group meets, every Wednesday afternoon. The project for this year is colourful squares to be knitted into blankets for a local charity.  On this occasion our residents were joined by Lizzi and Ruby the PAT dogs who visit every week.

Creative Writing Workshop

We hosted a Creative Writing workshop with a  local poet, Sandra Hickmore, who arranged the theme for the session and helped our residents to create their own poem. No writing skills are needed, just a little imagination and inspiration!
