Activities at Oak Grange Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

It was an enjoyable event for everyone, learning more about the amazing beluga whales and how they are cared for at the sanctuary.

Exercising the body and mind

Keeping active, having social interactions and being mentally stimulated is very important to Residents at Oak Grange.   Today was a fun-filled game of parachute!

Every got really competitive, everyone wanted to beat each other and Residents really got into the event.

The home said “Ball exercise is good for Residents wellbeing as it helps with their hand eye coordination and is a good arm exercise to keep them muscles working.”

As part of the homes life enrichment programme, the activities coordinators include firm favourites in the homes calendar with fun-filled adapted games that they played over the years in a safe environment!

Out and about at Hoylake

It’s been a busy few days here at Oak Grange and residents decided to go for fish and chips at Hoylake and enjoy a little fresh air. They made the short picturesque journey in the homes minibus taking in the scenery as they went along..

The delicious food went down a treat whilst we enjoyed the beautiful seaside. Right after our scrumptious lunch, we went walking a little bit and enjoyed the fantastic view.
