Activities at Oak Grange Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Oak Grange Care Home
Chester Cathedral
Our Oak Grange choir was invited to perform at Chester Cathedral. Staff have recently completed their Dementia Friends training and it was lovely to be able to show residents 'living well with dementia.
Our choir is made up of residents from all communities, in addition to staff, loved ones and volunteers. We have been specially trained to sing as a choir by professional musician, Susan Urschitz.
We performed a range of sacred choral music to entertain visitors in the cathedral.
A Beautiful Day Out
We enjoyed a lovely warm day out to Llandudno, where we indulged in fish and chips at the west shore and went on a leisurely walk to the café for some ice cream.
Our New Fish Tank
It is a wonderful addition to our foyer, where everyone can enjoy it!
River Cruise
Staff and residents enjoyed a peaceful cruise down the River Dee on a sunny afternoon.
Musical Moments Returns
Every other Wednesday, we are visited by Jenny from Musical Moments and residents always enjoy singing and dancing with her.
Teddy Bear Picnic at Oak Grange
We recently held a 'teddy bears picnic' here at Oak Grange with our special guests, the infants from St Oswald's primary school!
We all had a lovely time, making teddy masks, having a picnic together, and having fun with our teddies in the parachute!
