Activities at Orchard House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Shanklin Seafront

The weather was so lovely on Wednesday 18th April that we boarded the minibus and visited Shanklin Seafront, where we enjoyed a lovely walk whilst taking in the delightful views. We then found a nice spot to sit and have an ice cream, which we all enjoyed very much.

Church Service

On Sunday 15th April, we had a church service with the Isle of Wight Methodist Church who come to Orchard House every third week of the month to host a service for residents. They also provide communion for those who wish to participate.

Keep Fitter

On Thursday 12th April, we had Suki in for her fun Keep Fit class. Suki gets residents motivated to improve their physical well-being, as well as stimulating social communication within a group. As you can see from the pictures, lots of residents enjoy joining in and have fun.
