Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

Life at Oulton Park Care Home
Remembrance Day
Today we took our residents out on our home Mini Bus to pay our respects and lay our own hand-made Wreath at the memorial to honour those brave men and women who gave their lives for us.
We also stopped to see the wildlife and saw a lot of Squirrels eating the nuts they had hidden earlier in the year.
It sure was lovely to be outside in the Autumn air and our residents thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Bonfire Night Celebrations
What a lovely evening we had at Oulton Park Care Centre for Bonfire Night. Our residents, staff and community friends enjoyed a spectacular Firework display and the odd Sparkler too! A big thank you to Nathan our Head of Maintenance for helping put on such a fantastic show.
We all enjoyed Hot Soup and Chocolate Toffee Apples made by our talented Chefs Bobby and Sonya. And our residents even made Chocolate covered Marshmallows with sprinkles on for the occasion too!
Halloween Fun
What a busy few days our residents have had here at Oulton Park Care Centre - baking cupcakes and decorating them - Of course they had even more fun eating them!
Pumpkin carving, Arts & Craft Club - making Greetings Cards, having Manicures and not forgetting our sensory relaxation sessions too!
Supporting Lowestoft Foodbank
A big thank you to all our staff here at Oulton Park Care Centre, our residents, relatives and our home community friends who contributed towards our collection for the Lowestoft Foodbank - your generosity is very much appreciated.
We will now be collecting towards a Christmas donation for the Foodbank. If you would like to contribute, please pop along to Oulton Park Care - our Donation Box is located in our Reception Foyer.
Oulton 3rd Rainbows, Brownies and Guides Visit for Memorial Tree Planting
We were absolutely delighted to welcome the 3rd Oulton Rainbows, Brownies and Guides to Oulton Park for the planting of our Memorial Tree in honour of our late Queen and her Platinum Jubilee.
It was a beautiful sunny day to mark such a special occasion which our residents, staff and community friends will remember for many years to come.
A kind donation from "They Matter" and the U3A
Hilary Curtis and the “They Matter” Group from our home friends all the way over at the Buntingford U3A have kindly donated a selection of bespoke handmade Fiddle/Activity Mats for our residents here at Oulton Park Care Centre.
The mats make a huge difference to our residents lives alongside our Empathy Dolls, Magic Table and home lifestyle enrichment programme led by our Activities Team Jody and Megan.
Thank you so much to all at the "They Matter" group - we really do appreciate your generous gifts to Oulton Park and our residents absolutely love them too!
