Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.

Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Oulton Park Care Home

Seaside Community Party
We hosted a community event where we invited our wonderful friends from St Michaels Church into the home for a seaside party. The party involved a seaside themed show from St Michaels Church, along with games, whilst they were here enjoying the time they spent with the residents they also enjoyed a Fish and chips lunch made by our lovely chefs.

Horse Sanctuary Visit
We've been extremely busy here at Oulton Park getting our resident's out on the home's mini bus. This time we paid a visit to Redwings Horse Sanctuary.
This was a fantastic experience for our residents with a chance to get up close and personal to some lovely horses and to talk with the dedicated staff.

Garden Centre Visit
What a fantastic day we've had here at Oulton Park care, we took some of our resident's out on the home's mini bus to Lound Plant Centre. We enjoyed a delicious cup of tea and a slice of cake.
We then took a stroll and took a look around at all the lovely flowers. A big thank you to the wonderful staff who always make us feel so welcome.

Happy Birthday Gordon!
On each residents birthday we ask what they would like to do to make it special. Gordon requested a garden high tea. Of course we obliged and the loved ones really enjoyed it. The food was amazing and all home made by our lovely chef.

Pride 2023
Oulton Park joined in with the celebrations of Pride month in June. Oulton Park ensures that equality and diversity is supported in the home. We had the whole home decorated for the month and on one in particular day we had a pride party celebration day. The staff and residents dressed in the brightest and sparkliest coloured clothing. We had live entertainment and a mini party. Residents, relatives and staff thoroughly enjoyed the event.

Summer Fete
It was a very delightful day, enjoyed by residents, relatives, staff and the community. We had live entertainment, a dog obedience class, cake stall, BBQ, Stalls and so much more. One resident stated “I’m having the time of my life.
