Activities at Oxford Beaumont Care Community
Our Activities Coordinators are committed to organising a mix of activities and events that cater to all tastes, which includes minibus outings to nearby places of interest and visits from animal trusts, local school choirs, musicians and entertainers. We also undertake one-to-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group sessions, and encourage loved ones to join in whenever they can.

Hi, I'm Alice (left) and I've been working in activities since 2019. I absolutely love my role, and I'm passionate about providing meaningful and life enriching activities for all our residents. My aim is to make them smile everyday!
Hi I’m Sarah (right), I’ve been a member if the Oxford Beaumont team since January 2020. Starting as an Activities assistant on a part time basis, I enjoyed the role so much I'm now one the the full time coordinators.
It’s an absolute pleasure working here, being able to provide life enriching activities that make our residents happy and smile. We have so much fun together, and learn something new everyday from these incredible ladies and gentlemen.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Oxford Beaumont Care Community
Easter Celebrations
During the morning of Easter Sunday residents enjoyed visits from the Easter Bunny who helped spread the Easter joy around the home whilst delivering chocolate eggs!
The celebrations continued with a tea party open to all residents, families and loved ones. There were an array of delicious refreshments including scones and hot cross buns! There was also an Easter colouring competition open to all of the community and residents got to choose the winning card! It was a great day of bringing people together chatting and reminiscing about different Easter traditions.
An Easter Outing to Millets Farm
Despite the dreary rain we were not stopped from getting out and about! Residents had a fun trip out in the mini bus to the local garden centre to see the different displays and to see their wide range of spring flowers and plants! After a walk round the farm we stopped in the café for tea and cake!
Easter Cake Competition
Barchester is has been holding a competition for the most creative and imaginative Easter cakes made by residents.
As a group we discussed how we would like to decorate our cake and we are definitely pleased with the outcome! The session provided opportunities for residents to express their creativity and reminisce about their own Easter traditions with their families and friends.
St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations
Here at the Oxford Beaumont we fully embraced the Irish culture by learning about the history of St. Patrick, listening to traditional music, dressing in green and of course drinking some Irish cream!
We were also joined by Reverend Glynis and Janet for a St. Patrick’s Day church service in the afternoon which included hymns for residents to sing along to as well as listening to tales and myths of the Saint!
Meeting Our Neighbours
We welcomed our lovely neighbours on Boars Hill into our home by hosting a coffee morning for them and our residents to enjoy. It was a fantastic turn out and was great to see so many of the residents engaging with our neighbours sharing stories and local history! Our hospitality team provided a delicious spread of cakes and sweet treats which were all highly complemented by everyone! We hope to be able to host again in the near future!
Sharing the Love!
This Valentine’s Day residents, staff and loved ones came together to share stories, decorate (and eat!) valentine inspired biscuits and to relax with some well-deserved pampering by our wonderful beautician, Charlie!
Charlie offers a range of beauty treatments including hand massages and manicures which are always popular choices among the residents at Oxford Beaumont!
Charlie also spends time getting to know each resident and always brightens up our day!
