Activities at Pentland View Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Bingo Bonanza
Across the country our homes and hospitals came together to find out which care home or hospital had the best Bingo players as they teamed up for Barchester’s Bingo Bonanza.
Residents were treated to some exciting virtual games of Bingo as part of Barchester’ very own game show series.
Everyone who participated had a fantastic time and enjoyed some friendly competition.

Residents enjoy Bingo Bonanza
Staff and residents joined fellow keen dabbers from over 250 Barchester care homes and hospitals across the whole of the UK, including Wales, Scotland, Jersey and the Isle of Wight, to compete in the biggest game of bingo Barchester has ever seen!

Library trip
Sandra enjoyed her regular trip to the local library, where she is well known and has been for years. She specially enjoyed their Valentine’s promotion of “Blind Date With a Book".

Live music
Live music from both Faith Charlton and Robbie MacDonald: Residents all enjoy live music and we try to have some in for them every month. Music really does unite us all, and both of these talented local artists played a selection of songs chosen just for our residents.

Household tasks
Residents in Memory Lane very much enjoy feeling useful and busy. As such, we have made it a regular task for them to fold and sort some of the home’s laundry. Here, the ladies of Stroma are folding the towels and blankets, al while enjoying a good blether and a laugh.

Valentine’s Day
For Valentine’s Day, residents enjoyed arranging flowers to keep in their rooms. They also received chocolate truffles. Residents that did not participate received a visit and delivery of a single red rose and chocolate. We even had a resident enjoy a lovely meal with his wife, along with gifting her a rose and chocolate. We hope that everyone felt loved and appreciated on this special day.
