"Very pleased with everything, staff and management are excellent, pleasant and helpful in everything. The building is very distinctive and attractive. Most people here really love it. Very well planned. Food and drink are very varied and top-notch - I enjoy a lovely glass of wine with my meal - all the little touches make a difference. A lovely birthday party and cake. Everything is spotless - linen is pristine. Glasses are sparkling like diamonds. Everyone is helpful and suggests if you need help!"

"After a settling-in period, Mum has settled in very well. Facilities are very good and Mum is eating much better than when she was in her own home. She has also found a nice group to socialise with."

"My mum was anxious about attending for 2 week respite but in her words she had a wonderful time, the staff are very caring and the food is very nice. She is subsequently staying for a 3rd week with a view to becoming a permanent resident in due course. From my perspective her progress has been excellent and whilst living in her own flat may be deemed as remaining independent, she definitely has a better quality of life at Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home."

"My mum was struggling to cope at home; it had become unsafe living on her own and her GP service was unhelpful. We moved her to Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home in the middle of August and she really did not want to go; she didn't want to leave her home of 60 years and was really worried about moving to a place where she didn't know anybody. On her moving in day, mum was made so welcome and we joined her for lunch which helped with settling in. The staff have been extremely efficient, friendly and caring, treated mum with respect and made her laugh. She has settled in well and told me that's she's been allowed to to be independent. However, I have the comfort of knowing that she is being given the correct medication at the correct times, is eating tasty and nutritional meals three times a day and is better in herself; she looks better and seems less confused. The GP service has been excellent with regular visits, alongside the District Nurse service. Coffee and cake are great in the cafe."

"Respite for my husband at Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home was a first experience of respite for him and of course, for me. The experience for both of us was a positive one. So much so, I have booked another respite for my husband later in the year. As this care home is very new, my husband was one of only nine residents - I do hope the high standard of care etc. is maintained when the care home is filled to capacity."

"Dad has been here for a couple of months now and has settled in really well. The facilities are excellent, especially as everything is brand-new but the best bit about the place is the staff. They are so friendly and welcoming and look after Dad really well. So much so, we can already see improvements in his walking etc. Thank you."

"Although this is the very first experience of any form of a care home, Mum and Dad have only been here for just over a week and it has truly been wonderful, not only for them but us also. First impressions of all the staff were and continue to be kind caring, friendly but above all, professional. The team is run by a brilliant, friendly management team which passes onto each and every member of staff and they all go above and beyond with their care and kindness. The food is five-star too. As their daughter. I can't think of anywhere else I would want my parents to be. Thank you Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home for all you do."

"My mum and dad are here for respite as their home is damaged with water and builders need to get in and do the work. They have been in for two weeks now and maybe two more weeks. So it was the first time in eight weeks I'd seen them, as I live overseas and work all over Europe! My first impressions were how lovely the staff are and helpful. Mum was out on a trip and Dad watching TV as he didn't want to and having a bit of a snooze. They didn't know I was coming, so big surprise for them, The staff made food so we could eat all together as I was with my sister. The food was fantastic, I could see them looking so youthful with smiles back into their faces and Mum with a spring back in herself as she came back from your trip telling all about her day! My sister told me that Dad was a bit reserved at first but now in very good spirits, looking better in himself. Thank you all so much for giving my parents a bit of life back!"

"My dad stayed at this care home for four weeks and we were so pleased we chose this home for him. The care staff are excellent, always cheerful and attentive - nothing is too much trouble. They made my dad feel at ease from the moment he arrived. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for somewhere for their relative. The rooms are spacious and have a very comfortable and homely feel about them with excellent facilities."

"My dad has been at Pittsmead Grange for just over 2 months and has settled in so well. The home is modern, clean, warm and luxurious. The rooms are spacious and those on the ground floor lead onto the lovely garden. There is a cafe area where you can sit with your relatives and there are always hot drinks and delicious cake. The staff are really friendly, professional and caring. I couldn't be happier with the care my dad is receiving and would recommend this care home to anyone else considering care for their relative."

"My parents were the first residents of Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home. They have settled in well. The staff are all very friendly and caring. The staff are always quick to help and obviously care about the welfare of the residents. The rooms are a good size and well decorated and furnished. Each day the rooms are clean and tidy with beds made. The communal areas are well thought out. The lounges are cosy but generously sized. The food is excellent. It is served to the residents as if they are in a restaurant. The menus are varied and nutritious. The activities are great. The lady that runs the activities is always smiling and very encouraging to the residents trying to get everyone involved. I am so pleased my parents are living here and get great support."

"I have nothing but praise from the minute we stepped into Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home to view the home until now where my mother is currently staying. What is such an emotional and stressful time has been made so much easier by all of the staff and in particular, the manger of Pittsmead."

"Mum is staying for a four-week respite spell. We have been very impressed all round so far. Mum's needs have been very well met and everyone has taken time to get to know her. This has been evident when visiting, with carers telling me she loves to dance and sing to ABBA - this is Mum at her happiest. When seeking a room for Mum, our requests were considered and a room with a similar layout to that of Mum's at home was given to Mum. The activities have clearly been enjoyed by all when I've been visiting - I was invited to join in with badminton too! It was lovely to enjoy this with Mum. The grounds are beautiful - Mum loves the view of the garden from her room. From the first point of contact, the communication from Barchester Pittsmead Grange Care Home has been outstanding; something which is very important to us when placing a loved one in the care of others. Thank you."
