Activities at Queens Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, providing fun and companionship, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained and that life at Queens Court is fun and active. Throughout the home, there is a choice of lounges, which have been designed for people who enjoy socialising and love making new friends. Music therapy, speakers of interest, events, cinema screenings and family events are offered regularly, as well as the Book Club or Poetry Corner, for those who enjoy quieter activities. Our social programme is varied and exciting and is available seven days a week. You can be as busy as you like. Our friends of Queens Court regularly support our special events and activities at the home, which include trips to the seaside and National Trust site

Emilia Bogdanowicz
We are delighted to introduce Emilia as our Activities Lead. Emilia has been part of Queens Court for some time and is excellent in ensuring our residents have a full and interesting life introducing many new hobbies, activities and experiences!
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Queens Court Care Home

International Nurses Day
Today is a special day for our nurses at Queens Court. It's International Nurses Day, which honours the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
We are so grateful for our nurses, who are our future. They care for our residents with compassion and professionalism. They make our care home a happy and safe place.
We wanted to show our appreciation for our nurses with some fun activities and gifts. We started the day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a Scrabble game with our residents. We also gave them diplomas, presents and a relaxing hand massage.
Thank you, nurses, for everything you do. You are amazing!

Gardening Club
We had a wonderful time at the garden centre today! Our Garden Club is officially open for the season and we needed some supplies. Our Residents made a list of everything we wanted and we shopped till we dropped. We found some beautiful plants, seeds, pots and tools. We can't wait to start gardening and see our flowers bloom. We ended our trip with a delicious coffee at the café. It was a lovely afternoon with our Residents!

Afternoon Tea at Queens Court
We invited our local church Holy Trinity Wimbledon to say Thank You for their support and help throughout the Covid period.
We have now returned to church on a Sunday but still have Holly Communion and Songs of Praise at Queens Court.
