Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Jane Ritchie
Hello, my name is Jane and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Lodge and I have been here since 2010 .
My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

World Kindness Day
We celebrated World Kindness Day here at Rose Lodge, and everyone had lots of fun!
Autumn Arts
On Wednesday 4th November, residents enjoyed the afternoon putting together their Autumn display board. items was collected from residents garden and pictures of birds cut out too.
This was a good talking point with our residents chatting about all the items we had collected.
Games Afternoon
Residents enjoyed an afternoon playing a variety of board games and dominoes.
Grandparents Day
Activities staff sent Grandparents Day cards to the local nursery for children to colour in. As you can see, the kids really loved it!
Harvest Service
On the 8th October, we held our Harvest Festival Service. Our local church sadly couldn't come in due to current circumstances, but they were lovely enough to send us a script and a number of hymns.
We also had our relative advocate play his violin to accompany the hymns over Skype.
Food items were collected in the home and this will go to the food bank in Wisbech.
All the residents had a lovely time, singing the hymns and chatting about Harvest Festivals from the residents' past. We also got to try the bread wreath we had made earlier in the week.
A Morning of Fun
On the morning of Monday 28th September, residents enjoyed a variety of games and puzzles.
