Activities at Rose Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Jane Ritchie
Hello, my name is Jane and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Lodge and I have been here since 2010 .
My role is to engage and stimulate our residents by offering a range of activities for them to enjoy. I want to get everyone involved and make our home community and atmosphere as positive and welcoming as possible.
Making sure that our residents have things to do that they really enjoy doing is something that I am passionate about, It is so important to make sure that they are happy and enjoy all of the activities and events that we do with them. We enjoy creating new and special memories together.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Tim the Pathfinder
Residents enjoyed a morning with Tim who is a pathfinder and gave a talk about bombers.
Employee of the Month - April
Congratulations to Jane McFetridge, who was named as Rose Lodge's Employee of the Month for April. Well done, Jane, and thank you for all of your hard work!
Singalong Sunday
Residents had a nice dance on Singalong Sunday, along with a few glasses of wine and sherry.
Peckover House
Residents enjoyed a lovely morning at Peckover House; they went for a walk around the garden and had some tea.
Veterans Reunited
Gerry received a Legion d’Honneur medal, which is the highest French medal anyone can receive. When his story appeared in the paper, a war veteran contacted Rose Lodge to meet Gerry.
Easter Bonnets
Residents enjoyed making Easter bonnets and taking part in our raffle on Easter Sunday with hot cross buns and a cup of tea.
