Our wonderful team comprises carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. These people are here to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest. Meet some of our staff below:

Cassie Munnoch

General Manager

Hi, my name is Cassie and I am the General Manager here at Shawford Springs. Welcome to our website!

I have worked in care for many years in various roles but by far my favourite role is here, as General Manager at Shawford Springs. I enjoy working with a team who are passionate about what they do and ensure that everyday is the best possible, for all of our residents. 

Life here at Shawford Springs is like no other. We have a fabulous environment which I pride myself on keeping immaculate and the care we deliver is bespoke and individual for each resident

Our residents' days are filled with fun and laughter and of course - learning!  Here at Shawford Springs we believe that residents should lead an even more fulfilled life than they have led at home.

I am incredibly passionate about the role I play here Shawford Springs, driven by helping others and really making a difference. Working with people and knowing that you can have a really positive effect on someone is such a great feeling. Getting to know families and friends and ensuring that they feel supported as a loved one takes that next step, is extremely important to me. I know that our home will be the heart of the community and a beautiful place to live for those that choose us as their forever home.

Afshan Saleem

Administrator

I am Ash the Homes Administrator. I have worked in the health and social care sector for many years. I have a keen eye for detail and work well in a busy, bustling environment. I run my own charity organisation when I am not at work and spend my spare time with that or radio broadcasting. My other passions are travelling, shopping and a good cup of coffee. You will always find me front of house where my door is always open for that coffee and a chat. 

Joanne Gadd

Activities Co-ordinator

Hello, I am Joanne. I have worked as an activities coordinator for over seven years. In that time I have built a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience in designing and implementing activities that will support the mind, body and soul. I have a passion for delivering person centred sessions and will strive to ensure our weekly programme is engaging for all. I love organising events and am continually looking for ways to connect with our local community.

Clifford McCrea

Head Chef

I have worked for Barchester for almost two years. Starting off in one of our sister homes locally. Previous to this I have been fortunate enough to work in London at some exclusive restaurants. My passion is to cook with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced products and love the fact that Barchester allow the freedom to be able to cook with our residents needs and wants at the heart of everything we do.

Simon Bell

Head of Maintenance

Hello my name is Simon  and I’m Head of Maintenance here at Shawford Springs. My role is to ensure the facilities are kept to a high standard and safe for residents and staff. I have a varied background in facilities and maintenance including hospitals, children’s homes and retirement villages. Prior to that I spent time in the West Country developing property before moving back be closer to ageing parents. In my free time I like to cook and have an interest in music, particularly vinyl. There is nothing I like more than having all the family round for a meal. We have two Airedale terriers, Norman and Pippa, and a fox terrier called Dudley. They are real characters with Pippa always in charge. I have a great family who are, as we all know, the most important thing in life!

Reka Szucs

Head Housekeeper

Hello, I am Reka and I am Head of Housekeeping. I came to the UK in 2012 from Hungary and began my Housekeeping career in the hospitality industry. I am passionate about the work I do and am keen to achieve great results through hard work and determination. I love chatting with our residents on a daily basis as I ensure our beautiful new home is kept clean, fresh and tidy 

 

Sarah Taylor

Receptionist

I am one of the receptionists here at Shawford Springs. This is my first job within care, but I have worked within the travel and tourism industry for many years and have a wealth of experience working within people. There is nothing I enjoy more than engaging with our residents and their friends and families. I am passionate about delivering the very  best customer service. I have a friendly approach and always aim to make your time at our home a pleasant experience. I look forward to welcoming you to Shawford Springs

Sarah Peters - Care Community Lead - Speak Up Champion

Hello, My name is Sarah and I have worked in care since the age of 18. I am enjoying my new role at Shawford Springs helping to care for the residents, learning new things and supporting other staff members in their care roles

Nichola Wilson

Hello, my name is Nichola Wilson and I am a care assistant. I have worked in care for over 15 years and very much enjoyed meeting so many amazing people in this time. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in frail residential  and Dementia.  I am looking forward to meeting all our new residents and their friends and families and helping them settle in to their new home here at Shawford Springs

Pippa Munnoch

Senior Carer

 My Name is Pippa and I have worked at Shawford Springs since it opened in March 2023. I am one of the care team but I am also a  Dementia Champion for the home. I am passionate about resident inclusion, enabling our residents to feel independent and purposeful. I enjoy ensuring residents continue with their hobbies and interests and also discover new ones. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with me family and my two French Bull dogs Frank and Vinnie

Hello, my name is Catherine and I've been in my role as Senior Carer at Shawford Springs since December 2023. I have worked in the care sector for a number of years  and I am passionate about caring for those living with a diagnosis of Dementia. When I'm not working I enjoy walking with my dog Bella who has a gentle and calming nature and loves people

Hello, My name is Isabelle, or Bella, I have worked in various roles within Hospitality for a few years
I love my job here at Shawford Springs as a host helping the residents in the dining room with their menu choices, serving delicious food and drink and ensuring everyone has a wonderful dining experience

Sylvia Powell

Carer

Hello, My name is Sylvia and I have over nine years experience in the care sector including five years in community care. 
I'm very much looking forward to making all of our residents experience here at Shawford Springs a happy one 
When I'm not working I enjoy dancing to keep me fit and happy

Patsy Pearson

Hello, My name is Patsy and I am from beautiful South America, Lima Peru, the home of Paddington Bear.
 My husband is English, and we have a son and a Golden Retriever called Sienna, I relocated to the UK from Peru 23 years ago, I now live locally very close to Shawford Springs  
 I am a people person, compassionate and caring having cared for, and nursed my Grandmother in her later years. I wanted to bring happiness to peoples lives and searched for a long time for the best environment to enable me to achieve this, and this is the path that lead me to Shawford Springs. 
In my spare time I love to cook, and dance - Sometimes at the same time! I also enjoy running to music.

Rebecca (Becky)

General Assistant

Hello, my name is Rebecca or Becky. I am a general assistant which means you will be able to find me in almost any department including the Kitchen, Housekeeping,reception or in care. Prior to starting my position here I was a carer for two and a half years in a local Nursing home. I have also worked as a housekeeper and a cafe assistant when I left school. I am more than happy to help where needed and I love hearing residents life stories
