Activities at Snowdrop Place Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Gemma Moss

Activities Coordinator

Having started my journey as a carer, I am now thrilled to be supporting the activities for our wonderful residents here at Snowdrop Place. I love working with them to ensure we provide a full person-centred planner of amazing and engaging things for everyone to enjoy and be a part of

Life at Snowdrop Place Care Home

The Grand Opening

On 26th April, The Mayor of Eastleigh, Councillor Darshan Mann, accompanied by his wife, came to Snowdrop Place, to cut the ed ribbon and announce us officially open. It is a day we have all been looking forward to and we are so glad we are open and now able to welcome residents into their new home.

CQC Registration

We are pleased to announce that Snowdrop Place has officially been registered by the CQC. This means they deem us safe and ready to open our doors to new residents, and we couldn’t be more excited. Our team celebrated the fantastic news together in the sunshine!

We Are Fully Vaccinated

We are proud to say the staff team at Snowdrop Place are now all vaccinated and have all completed their training. We are excited to welcome our new residents and to support them safely in their new home.

Handover of Keys

The building work at Snowdrop Place has been completed and the keys have now been handed to the General Manager, Sarah Davies!

We can’t wait for the home to open to our first residents in April and we are so excited to see the home full of life!

Random Acts of Kindness

For Random Act of Kindness Day on 17th February, we decided our act of kindness would be delivering a hamper of essentials to a local bereavement charity, Butterflies Bereavement Support. They have just opened a new support centre in Eastleigh and things like tea, coffee and biscuits are essential when they have visitors. Paul who works at the charity was very grateful for this donation.

Supporting the Community

Highwood's, the company responsible for building Snowdrop Place, took time out of their busy schedule to help give local Pavilion Pirates Pre-school a new playground.

With funding from Barchester and a local charity run by the Co-op, they were able to make this lovely transformation possible.
