Activities at St Thomas Care Home
Our activities coordinator is dedicated to organising meaningful activities on an individual and group basis to fulfill the daily needs of our residents, as we understand how important mental and physical stimulation is for their wellbeing. Our activities are available to everyone who wants to take part and there is something different going on everyday. We often go out on day trips including visiting shopping centres, garden centres, evening meals at the local pubs, visits to local schools and also coffee mornings with other care homes. We have a wide range of entertainers that visit us at our home including musical therapists, Millers Ark Farm, pantomimes as well as our local salvation army and lots more. We encourage families to join us on trips out and also in home activities such as baking, arts and crafts, dancing and singing, we believe this is a great way for our residents to live an active and fun life here with us at St Thomas.

Life at St Thomas Care Home
Meet us in the Community!
We enjoyed a great day at the Rotary Club of Hart Hartley Wintney Summer Festival on Saturday meeting the community. Next weekend, Saturday 11th September we will be at the Bramley summer fete at Clift Meadow Park from noon.
Lots of things on our stall - Guess the number of sweets (courtesy of Ma Humbugs Old Fashioned Sweet Shop), children’s colouring and goodie bags to giveaway.

Our Summer Fair in the Garden!
Thank you to everyone for supporting us on Saturday with our Summer Fair, we raised an amazing £517 for St Michaels Hospice in Basingstoke so well done to all our relatives, visitors, staff and the team who worked so hard organising the day. We also appreciate the support of the Mayor, Onnalee Cubitt who joined us for the afternoon and made the opening speech. We will be arranging to handover the cheque and residents to meet the fundraising team.
Creative patterns on our magic table
Residents love our Magic Table, so many different patterns and games all in colour, everyone is free to stop and play for a few minutes or longer, entirely their choice
We are supporting local charity with our Summer Fair
We are so pleased to be supporting St Michael's Hospice with fundraising at our summer fair on Saturday 21st August - lovely welcome in the office to meet Jackie and the team today. We collected our donation buckets, balloons and giveaway goodies, all ready for your cash from ticket sales for the tombola and raffle stall!
Reception has a box ready for all your donations so please look out some wonderful prizes for us to support raise money for this local charity. We welcome donations from our relatives, neighbours, friends and staff.
National Youth Day with Royal Ballet
In celebrations on international youth day we enjoyed an amazing workshop from the English National Ballet and a performance from their young dancers. Our residents loved watching the dancing and getting moving unleashing their inner ballet dancer!
BBQ party in the garden
Everyone enjoyed the BBQ on Saturday and the weather finally came good! The hospitality team served a selection of BBQ favourites and drinks. Entertainment was provided by Anthony who was a hit with the visitors and residents of all ages, there was dancing and tap footing to the beat all afternoon.
