Activities at Tandridge Heights Care Home

Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.

Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!

Kelly Sherwin

Activities Coordinator

I started at Tandridge Heights in 2020. Previous to this, I have been working as a carer sine 2010, which has helped me to understand the needs, wants and the individuality of all of our residents.

My main responsibility is provide a varied and engaging activities schedule every day for our residents; this helps to keep them involved in social and uplifting activities. We love to have parties to celebrate birthdays, national days and special occasions.

Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home

Famous for 5 minutes

Jean the General Manager was lucky enough to be interviewed for a local radio station. It gave her the opportunity to talk about all the wonderful events we put on for our residents and also the local community. We want everyone to know we are at the hub of our community.

Happy Birthday

One of our residents celebrate a special birthday, an evening of presents, friends and a party including Prosecco. It was a fun evening for everyone.

Performing Arts Afternoon

We were lucky enough to have our own west end style musical, all songs performed by the girls at our local school. It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by us all and we can’t wait to welcome them back again.

Karaoke afternoon , Karaoke afternoon

Karaoke Afternoon

Our fabulous activities coordinators, carers and residents had a great karaoke afternoon with plenty of dancing and singing. A few budding stars in the mix. Everyone got into the dancing spirit and even dressed up for the occasion

Classic Car Club , Classic Car Club

Classic Car Club

We opened our doors to the classic car community and invited everyone to enjoy a bacon sandwich and showcase their stunning vehicles. Everyone had a great time with a few having a little test drive, we can’t wait to welcome them back again.

Dementia Community

Dementia Friendly Community

Tandridge has worked tirelessly with staff and the local community to make the home and Oxted a dementia friendly community. Everyone got involved and we did some fun workshops at the home and even got the little ones involved.

We are now proudly displaying our dementia sticker received by the local council.
