Activities at Tandridge Heights Care Home

Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.

Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!

Kelly Sherwin

Activities Coordinator

I started at Tandridge Heights in 2020. Previous to this, I have been working as a carer sine 2010, which has helped me to understand the needs, wants and the individuality of all of our residents.

My main responsibility is provide a varied and engaging activities schedule every day for our residents; this helps to keep them involved in social and uplifting activities. We love to have parties to celebrate birthdays, national days and special occasions.

Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home

Toddlers, Toddlers Everywhere

Come and join us, games, snacks, songs and so much more. Our residents love their weekly dose of noise and Chaos when Thelma's Friends come over.

Visiting our Local Special Care Baby Unit

Some of our lovely residents have started a knitting group, both in the home and in the community hall. They have been busy knitting blankets and hats for the premature babies. We were lucky enough to be able to visit the unit and give them all the beautiful things they had made. Nurses and Parents were so happy that they had taken the time to do this, I am sure we will be back with lots more, as they really enjoy it.

Charity Race Night

What a great night we had, Residents and our guests had so much fun at our virtual race night. Everyone had a chance to place bets enjoy cheese & wine. Then watch as the race unfolded and winner took its final position. we also raised money for a local charity close to everyone in the community.

Community Scam Presentation

We invited A local community Banker from Natwest Bank in to the home to talk to everyone about how not to be scammed. we invited lots of people young & old from our local community too. We all learnt so much and it has really opened our eyes on lots of things that go on, making it especially hard for the elderly to stay one step ahead.

Celebrating Success.

Staff and Residents have had lots to celebrate recently, a renovation, new residents and to top it off an inspection from the CQC that resulted in a GOOD rating for the home. Everyone received vouchers and a party to reward their hard work.

Surprise visit from Father Christmas

Residents and guests enjoyed a fabulous Christmas party. Drinks and food were flowing, they even had a surprise visit from the man himself, complete with gifts for everyone.
