Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hi, My name is Bibesh Shrestha, Activity Coordinator

Having more than 10 years of professional experience in multiple sectors at different places have given me the confidence to get involved in any challenging environment where my skills and experience will be instrumental in achieving personal and social goals.

Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.

Being active and full of energy with humbleness is what defines me and transferring that energy to the people around me has been my prime interest.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home

International Flower Day

Did you know that 19th January is International Flower Day? For this occasion, we have organised a flower arrangement activity, Trinity Manor residents are keen gardeners.

Intergenerational Video Chats

Resident, Valerie, had the pleasure of virtually meeting Louise and Lucy, student of Sherborne Girls Sixth Form.

There was lots of chats and laughter, as well as covering many important subjects like education systems in 1940s compared to today.

At Trinity Manor we think resident engagement with local community is extremely important, in this instance it is a collaboration between generations.

Residents of Trinity Manor are very well travelled, have lived a life to the fullest and have a lifetime of experience which they are willing to share with younger generations.

The Vaccine Arrives

Staff and residents were delighted to be invited to have the vaccination by Grove Medical Centre, which has lifted everyone’s spirits after what has been a very challenging year for everyone.

We’ve had a year like no other and the vaccine feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Our teams have been magnificent in how they have risen to every challenge during this pandemic and we are proud to play our part in this next phase to ensure the most vulnerable are protected.

We thanked the volunteers for their bravery and immense kindness who have taken their time vaccinated us all today.

Elf Day

Trinity Manor staff dressed up for Elf Day on 4th December to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Residents and staff had lots of fun and naughty elves even tried to break a Christmas cracker before Christmas.

Celebrating 1 Year

Trinity Manor hosted a birthday party to celebrate their first year of serving in the local community.

Staff and residents enjoyed the entertainment from opera soloist, Jon Valence (performance outside and with social distancing measures in place), and indulged in a tipple (or two!) along with a delicious buffet prepared by the home’s kitchen team.

Trinity Manor has built up an excellent reputation in their first year. The home regularly holds online events and activities for its residents and surrounding neighbours and enjoys being an active part of the local community.

MP Visit

Trinity Manor was honoured to meet MP for West Dorset, Chris Loder.

Our Resident Ambassador, Dr Valerie Marett, has requested a visit and was extremely pleased to be able to have a political discussion with the politician himself, talking about white papers & what the future holds.

Thanks to our visiting suite, we are now able to invite guests to meet our residents.
