Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home

Spinathon for Alzheimer’s Society

Trinity Manor care home is very grateful for the community links we have, we thank Sherborne Sports Centre's Manager, Gary, for supporting our 7 hour Spinathon for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Trinity Manor Care Home in Sherborne has been selected as finalist for the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Guide and shortlisted for the Care Home Design Award 2021.

The Care Home Design Award recognises innovation, design, sustainability and the environment. The independent judging panel will be reviewing all the finalists over the next few weeks and the winners will be announced towards the end of October.

Knight Frank Group provide personalised, clear and considered advice on all areas of property in all key markets. Knight Frank believe taking a personal approach is crucial when interacting with clients, as it gives us a detailed understanding of how we can connect them with the perfect property, be it residential or commercial.

Card from Sherborne Girls

Trinity Manor Care Home is situated next to the amazing Sherborne Girls school and our residents see the students going to the lessons and it brings them so much joy.

Sherborne Girls have designed and made a card for our residents and it absolutely made their day.

National Dog Day

The day helps to galvanize the public so that they can recognise the number of dogs that must be rescued on a yearly basis, from pure breed rescuers, rescues, and public shelters.

The day is all about paying tribute to these incredible animals who work selflessly to bring comfort, keep us safe, and save lives.

Every day, these animals put their lives on the line. There are dogs that protect our safety and freedom by detecting drugs and bombs, as well as those that pull victims from wreckages and tragic situations. Plus, we have dogs for the disabled, blind, and law enforcement.

From these heroic dogs to our family friends, these dogs hold special places in our lives, and so it is only right that we honour them.

Rainbow Day

Staff and residents are celebrating their own rainbow day with all things multi-coloured.

Staff dressed in rainbow colours, ate rainbow cupcakes and drank rainbow smoothies.

This was all to celebrate life and all of our NHS staff and key workers, their dedication, sacrifices, hard work and incredibly courageous attitude.

We thank Sherborne Preparatory School for their kindness and the gifts given to Trinity Manor staff: rainbow bunting & cups, which have contributed towards our celebration.

Alzheimer's Spinathon

Staff at Trinity Manor have taken on a 7 hour spinathon challenge to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society as part of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.

World Alzheimer's Month is the international campaign that's held every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. September 2020 marks the 9th World Alzheimer's Month. The campaign was launched in 2012. World Alzheimer's Day is on 21st September each year.

Residents and staff were all very supportive and were there to cheer on the participants as they began the fundraising challenge.

Taking part in this challenge has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home has been behind us all the way. It’s for such an important cause.

Trinity Manor raised a grand total of £200 by completing the challenge, which will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.
