Activities at The Warren Care Home
Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.
Kirstie Bush
My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.

Life at The Warren Care Home
Employee of the Month - March, April & May
Staff and residents at The Warren gathered in the lounge to award Employee of the Month for March, April and May.
The first winner was Rosie Collett, Care Assistant, for the quality of care that she delivers to residents, including accompanying them on numerous trips out with the activities team.
The next winner was Tanya Burt. Tanya is Acting Deputy Manager and has worked very hard to ensure that The Warren runs smoothly and provides the best care to those we support.
The final winner was Sean Burnett, who works across a number of departments as a Bank General Assistant. Sean has only been at The Warren for a month, but in that month he has shown real dedication to the job and is always happy to help out.
Well done to all of our Employees of the Month.
Wroxham Broad
The minibus was out again on Monday 5th June, this time to Wroxham Broad to feed the many ducks and geese. together with three swans - and guess who had most of the bread! Having fed all the birds, we then made our way to Horning, where we parked up by the river and had some ice cream. Unfortunately, it was quite windy and a bit chilly, so no one ventured out of the bus. Hopefully it will be warmer next time.
Dad's Army at Weybourne Station
On Bank Holiday Monday (29th May), we were graced with a nice sunny day and decided to take a few residents on a spur of the moment trip to Weybourne Steam Railway Station for a day with Dad’s Army and a good old sing along with 'Time Scape'. This was very much enjoyed by all who went and the sandwiches brought back many memories, as there was spam, corned beef, egg and cheese on offer, in addition to various cakes for those who wanted to indulge their sweet tooth.
Green Pastures Garden Centre
Thursday 1st June saw the minibus on its way to Green Pastures Garden Centre and tea rooms for afternoon tea, where we were treated to cakes decorated with edible flowers and copious amount of tea.
The Old Reading Rooms
On 10th & 17th May, we headed to The Old Reading Rooms at Weybourne for lunch with a group of residents.
Pricking out Plants
22nd May was a lovely warm and sunny day, so at The Warren, we thought we would make the most of it by pricking out some swede plants for our vegetable patch. Max and Clem are very keen gardeners, so they were completely in their element. All of this was followed by a very well-deserved cup of tea and biscuits.
