Activities at Werrington Lodge Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Werrington Lodge Care Home
Nice & Easy in the Wild West
Entertainment duo, 'Nice & Easy', put on a wild west-themed showed for residents. Everyone really enjoyed their performance.
Werrington Turns 30
We celebrated 30 years here at Werrington Lodge. The kitchen team baked a delicious cake, and we were joined by friends, family members and the local community, who all enjoyed a buffet, live entertainment and plenty of refreshments, which were served throughout the afternoon.
Easter Visitors
Some local school children joined us for some Easter-themed arts & crafts with residents. They made bonnet and cards, painted eggs and baked cookies with Sharon Cliffe, our Head Chef.
Messy Play
Residents really enjoyed a morning of messy play with some young kids and their parents. It was really nice to see the 2 generations bonding.
International Women's Day
The Werrington WI joined us for International Women’s Day. We all enjoyed listening to a talk on how the WI was formed and why.
Many of the ladies here at Werrington Lodge have been members at some time or another, however, resident Margaret beat everyone hands down when she revealed she was the President of Thorney’s (a village near Peterborough)
Tea and homemade cakes were enjoyed by all, and we are all looking forward to seeing more of them.
Pancake Day
Kathy and Lily can be seen above starting the pancake race in recognition of Shrove Tuesday. Everyone had lots of fun!
