Most days, you will find our Activities Coordinators doing a range of different activities with residents, whether that be in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. It is important that our activities team are passionate about the social events that we provide, and are dedicated to delivering an activities programme that reflect the interests and capabilities of those we support, so that life at Wilsmere House is full of fun.

Life at Wilsmere House Care Home
Celebrating Success
A massive well done to Jarek Dragon, who has completed his Care Practitioner programme. Jarek has worked at Wilsmere House since 10th November 2007 as a Senior Care Assistant and all of his hard work and dedication has paid off. Congratulations, Jarek!
Open Day
Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Wilsmere House to enjoy an open day that was held at the home on Saturday 9th June 2018.
Wilsmere House hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, including live singer, William Smith, who sang a variety of songs. We decorated the home with Union Jack flags, bunting and balloons. Residents and visitors enjoyed a royal tea party and everyone was wearing Union Jack hats and waving jubilee flags.
Employee of the Month - January
Barbara has been at Wilsmere for over 10 years, working part time and volunteering weekly to ensure that residents are connected with their faith. She organises outings for both residents and their families to enjoy and can be seen liaising with families about their loved ones regularly.
15 Years of Service
Well done to Rhodaliza Valentos, who has been with Barchester for 15 years. She was overwhelmed by the love and appreciation shown by everyone.
Employee of the Month - December
Anca Costache was voted Employee of the Month for December 2017 by residents and families for her kind nature.
10 Years of Service
Congratulations to Ola Bankole for her hard work and dedication over the past 10 years. Ola joined Wilsmere in 2008 and has done some extremely fantastic work with residents. We wanted to show our appreciation, so she was gifted with a £250 voucher and some some flowers.
