Activities at Wilsmere House Care Home
Most days, you will find our Activities Coordinators doing a range of different activities with residents, whether that be in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. It is important that our activities team are passionate about the social events that we provide, and are dedicated to delivering an activities programme that reflect the interests and capabilities of those we support, so that life at Wilsmere House is full of fun.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Wilsmere House Care Home
Burns Night
Wilsmere House prepared a traditional Burns Night Supper to the tune of bagpipes and other traditional music, and capers continued well into the wee small hours!
Staff and residents at the home were involved in a number of activities: learning the art of Scottish country dancing and the Ceilidh to mark the Scottish institution, including giving the time-honoured address to the ‘Great chieftain O’ the pudding’ race’ – the haggis.
Elvis' Birthday
Wilsmere House was transformed into Graceland to mark what would have been Elvis Presley’s 85th birthday on 8th January. It is estimated that Elvis has sold over one billion records worldwide, so to honour the undisputed King of Rock & Roll, the staff and residents enjoyed a fantastic day of music, fun and dancing.
International Flower Day
Wilsmere staff and residents celebrated the International Flowers Day. On the day, the activities team did some flower arranging and a virtual flower show with the residents.
Christmas Raffle
Wilsmere House staff and residents did a Christmas raffle. Everyone had lots of fun!
Christmas Jumper Day
Wilsmere House staff and residents joined together to celebrate the themed day with Christmas jumpers and carol singing.
Fundraising Fun
Staff and residents at Wilsmere House have taken part in a Christmas cards sale and Christmas raffle to raise money for Lennox Children's Cancer Fund.
Residents, their relatives and staff were all very supportive and were there to cheer on the participants as they began the fundraising challenge.
Wilsmere House raised a grand total of £200 by completing the challenge, which will be donated to the charity.
