Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Windmill Manor Care Home
Family and Friends at our Summer BBQ
A wonderful day of creating more memories was had at Windmill Manor's“Summer BBQ” The weather was on our side giving us the opportunity to enjoy this special occasion of good food, summer drinks and great music by Nick Brown.
The day was enjoyed by all, giving our lovely new General Manager Ellie Lyons an opportunity to have “fun in the sun” with our very special Residents, Staff , Family and Friends.
Long distance Visitor's
This week our wonderful resident Edwin, was joined for afternoon tea by his wife, daughter and two very special old friends that were visiting Edwin all the way from Arizona.
Edwin's visitors said they found our English heatwave quite cool compared to the heat in Arizona!
Baking Club
Here at Windmill House our residents and staff are in agreement that one of our favourite activites is baking club.
This week our residents made Lemon Drizzle cake with a Tia Maria twist.
An excellent way to spend a morning and in the afternoon a tea time, we enjoyed eating our lemon drizzle cake
Barchester Bear's "Bopathon!"
We don't need an excuse to dance at Windmill Manor, but we were really glad to join a fund raising afternoon for the recent Dementia Awareness week and danced non stop for 60 minutes!
Tea at the Manor
“Tea at The Manor” Last Friday of every month, book to save disappointment. The sun was shining down on Windmill Manor as we enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment by Nick Brown and a ritz style tea prepared by our chefs. We hope our guests had a wonderful afternoon and hope to see you on Friday 24th June.
Jubilee Plate Making
Plate Painting for the Queens Jubilee. The residents of Windmill Manor decided to opt for traditional red white and blue over purple and silver for our plate painting. We had a great discussion about the 75years Queen Elizabeth 11 has reigned and she was now 96 years old. We ended our activity discussing what we were doing at the time of her coronation and a good old sing song including the National Anthem.
