Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Life at Windmill Manor Care Home

Chelsea Flower Show

Our very own stamp on the Chelsea Flower show. We were busy creating a flower collage today. Our residents enjoyed choosing their preferred colours and textures to add a personal touch to our design.

Memory Cafe

Windmill Manor's fortnightly Memory Cafe was a huge success today with several local folk living with dementia and their "better" halves enjoying a coffee, cake, some time together and a cuddle with Baxter, James' wonderful furry friend! The next one is on Tuesday 7th at 11.00am with a "Pimms" making and tasting session!

A trip out!

A lovely morning spent at Knights Garden Centre. Our first minibus outing in a long while, had an excellent result. Keen gardeners enjoyed looking at the plants, reminiscing about their own greenhouses and what fruit and vegetables they grew. Our ladies were absorbed in an array of colour and the scent from different flowering plants. No better way to end the trip than a delicious cup of coffee and generous slice of cake before returning home.

Life Couldn't Get Better!

At Windmill Manor we offer person centred care. Whatever our residents enjoy we cater for. Whether it's having your hair styled, flower arranging, playing your favourite instrument or relaxing with your preferred tipple we aim to please!

International Nurses Day

We were delighted to be able to honour our dear nursing colleages on this prestigious day to remember Florence Nightingale and all she stands for! Nurses dispense "Comfort, Compassion and Caring" without a prescription! Thank you!

Memory Cafe

Windmill Manor's Memory Cafe got off to such a great start we took beginning pictures and not during or end! Being national doughnut week, we concentrated on how to make them and the most popluar toppings with chef, Debbie! You're very welcome to join us for the next one at 11am on 24th May in our cafe. The theme for next time will be "Pet Therapy!" Please call us on 01883 718 120 for all the details!
