Activities at Alice Grange Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Our display was full of Autumnal colours with home grown produce from our own garden, along with staff donations and a very kind donation from Capel St Andrews Farm

View Point Café

The weather was against us today as we hoped to see Felixstowe from a height. That didn't stop us from having morning coffee at the View Point Cafe where we could look out at the North Sea and discuss the work at Felixstowe Docks. Many of our residents' families would have and still do work at The Docks

Sail Away With Me

"We are sailing we are sailing"Thank you so much to East Anglian Sailing Trust for a delightful sailing session the residents that participated were so keen for this to happen even taking one or two out of their comfort zone, but once on the water, they did not want to come back.We were lucky with the weather and the care and consideration of all the volunteers from East Anglian Sailing Trust who took care of us all. We can't thank you enough.
