Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Harvest Festival 2024
This week we marked Harvest Festival by inviting Reverend Chris Nunn from All Saints Church into our home to host a special service for residents, family and friends of the community. Our display was full of Autumnal colours with home grown produce from our own garden, along with staff donations and a very kind donation from Capel St Andrews Farm

Local School Visit

Thorpeness Suffolk
Thorniness Meare was inspired by Peter Pan there are Islands and a 70ft fairy tale cottage on stilts, and mock Tudor homes. We took a drive around taking in the beauty and stopping off for an Ice cream by the Meare and talking of the history that Thorpeness holds.

Grease Lightning!
I've got chills there multiplying and Alice Grange lost control as Brian Shaw entertained us with his Grease Show many of our residents remember taking their children to see this much-loved film from 1978.
