Activities at Alice Grange Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Penny Allen

Lead Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Making the most of the Indian Summer

Making the most of the Indian summer!!! We were very impressed by Josh's performance this week as he serenaded us in the garden in the beautiful weather! We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea under the pergola with our budgies before sitting back and enjoying the last of the years sunshine (hopefully not) whilst listening to some classic live hits. Thank you Josh for coming to Alice Grange, and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon.

Suffolk Rural College

We popped by to visit the Suffolk Rural College farm Shop which showcases items crafted on-site by college learners and students. Its always lovely to be out and about in the community supported heritage and seeing the future of things to come. Our residents took a real interest in the college surroundings saying. "it wasn't like this in our day we just got a job and got on with it"

Out and about Needham Lakes

We took a lovely drive through country lanes to Needham Lakes where we enjoyed feeding the ducks, swans, and other wildlife. On our return journey, we held a mini quiz naming the different types of ducks that we saw.
